Message from the Chief Executive Officer

“The Paskwayak Business Development Corporation has been in operation since 1987. During this period we were able to take control of the local economy by upgrading services to those customers who use OCN/The Pas as a service centre.In the years of operation, several new businesses were established, with the most prominent being the Kikiwak Inn, which employs 90 people. The economic future of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation is bright as long as we continue to upgrade services and the buildings that we own. Control, ownership, profitability, quality, and excellent standards must all be words that describe future operations for our businesses to be successful. The training of our band members should also be a priority as the people are the key to success. Training will ensure that our future is solid.”
